My  name is Cindy DeFilippi, and I have dedicated my career to the nursing  profession since I became a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2011. With a strong foundation in patient care and a passion for improving health outcomes, I  transitioned to the role of Nurse Practitioner (NP) in 2020. This  journey has allowed me to expand my clinical skills and deepen my  commitment to serving diverse patient populations.

Throughout my nursing career, I have gained extensive experience in various healthcare settings, with a primary focus on primary care. Working in primary care has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of patient health, including chronic disease management and preventive care. I thrive in environments that require me to build meaningful relationships with patients, educate them about their health, and empower them to take an active role in their care.

In addition to my work in primary care, I have also been involved in performing VA disability exams. This experience has not only honed my assessment skills but has also deepened my appreciation for the sacrifices made by our veterans. It is incredibly fulfilling to work with individuals who have  served our country, and I take great pride in providing them with the  care and support they deserve.

Another area of expertise that I have developed is in neurofeedback, which is a fascinating and evolving field. By incorporating neurofeedback into my practice,  I have been able to help patients address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and attention disorders. I  believe in the power of a holistic approach to health, and neurofeedback  allows me to offer a more comprehensive treatment  strategy that can lead to significant improvements in my patients'  quality of life.

As  I continue to advance in my practice, I remain committed to professional development and lifelong learning. I actively pursue opportunities to expand my knowledge and stay current with the latest advancements in healthcare. This  commitment not only enhances my clinical competencies but also allows me  to provide the highest standard of care to my patients.

I  am also passionate about community involvement and advocacy for health equity. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare,  regardless of their background or circumstances. My outreach efforts focus on educating communities about important health issues and promoting resources that  can help individuals lead healthier lives.

In summary, my  journey as a nurse and now a nurse practitioner has been incredibly  rewarding. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I am dedicated to improving patient outcomes through compassionate  and evidence-based care.
