Dr. Craig Jorden Jr DNP, PMHNP- BC began his military service in 2009 as an E1 in the Air Force Reserve, assigned to the 482nd Security Forces Squadron. Following a combat deployment in 2013, he returned home with a clear mission: to serve veterans in their most vulnerable moments. He pursued nursing at South University and started my clinical career at the VA Hospital, where he worked in acute care, chronic pain management, and served as an Education and Preventative Disruptive Behavior Coordinator.
He earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of South Alabama, followed by a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, expanding his knowledge in psychiatric mental health.
Today, he serves as a Captain in the Air Force Reserve with the 927th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, providing mental health support as a nurse and psychiatric nurse practitioner. His approach is holistic and collaborative—centered on empowering his clients to build and maintain mental resilience.
